The value for money of this hotel in central Paris is unbeatable.
The staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was fine, croissants, rolls, cheese, coffee, cereal & yogurt. A good start to the day. The room was a basic hotel room in a convenient location. Only a short walk to the Metro and about a 10 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. There is a good cheese shop across the street as well as a wine shop and the room comes with a wine opener.
The lock on the safe was broken in the room and the bathroom had a strange odor, we kept the window open which helped air out the room. I would recommend this for a weekend break, but probably not for a family, the rooms were a bit small to fit more than 2 people - it wouldn't fit a cot (crib). They may have bigger rooms though.
I stayed in room 31, lovely room, very polite staff, excellent location, just a few minutes from Courcelles Metro, (at next big junction on left out of hotel) ,and only a 15 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee (turn left out of hotel, cross main road at Metro stop, and take next right onto Avenue Hoche and you will see Arc de Triomphe ahead)
Dodgy water supply in shower and no price list for mini bar provided that I could see, other than that the hotel was lovely and I would definitely return
Te Hotel location is very good, its very close to the metro station and to many attractions. Aso they offer free wifi.
The mini bar smell was disgusting and I told the guy at the reception to order a taxi to take me to the airport but he ordered a privet shuttle bus without referring back to me. As result, I paid double the price of a regular taxi. Also, the floors are very unclean and the tub in the bathroom needs to be fixed as water leaks from under it. Moreover, the cleaning lady used to enter the room every morning and wakes me up in order to clean the room, every time she says sorry and do it again the next day !. Finally, I paid for a superior room and I didn’t find any superiority in such a room , it was very very small !
Near the metro station.
Smelly, not clean, out dated.
iliked the position and the service
Good shower, air conditioning system, maid service every day
Blowing strongly from the window
The hotel reception staff was exceptionally inefficient in solving any technical issue. The internet never worked and I was told no one in Paris could help. Very frustrating!
The location was where I needed to be. breakfast was yummy.
The location is very good. Also the personel was very kind. We felt good at the Monceau.....
relatively in the center
I made a reservation of the superior room, room 60. I made the comment to the receptionist about the following matter, and instead to apologize, he kept on denying the situation, which shows that customer focus is not priority. For being the superior room, the facilities provided do not match with the extra price that we pay. I am 1.60 tall, which is a standard size, and I couldn't even fit stading up in the bath tub. My partner is even taller, so you can imagine that he was even more frustruated. Very uncorfortable indeed. The guy in the reception mentioned that the superior is given by the light that the room gets, which I am wondering if the guy has ever seen the room as the light is limited as it has a building in front of it.
The hotel was close to the subway, just 2 minutes walk. Although the station has no transition to other lines, it is just 2 stations away from Champ-Elysees. Moreover, the hotel is in the 17th region, where there are lots of companies etc., so it is safe both at day and night. The staff was ok. They were not so friendly, but not so bad as well. They speak English, but not too much. The room was good and it is clean. There is elevator to all flats.
There was some beverages and chocolates in the bill of our room in the check out which we did not had. But the staff made the necessary corrections after our objection.
This was my third stay at Monceau Elysees. I have always found the staff friendly and have enjoyed the quiet location and access to public transport and the centre of Paris. The rooms are slightly bigger than some available in Paris.
This was my most disappointing and last stay at Monceau Elysee. The duvet cover on the bed had not been cleaned. There was no shower screen to keep water in the shower and off the floor, sink, toilet and everything else in the small bathroom. The room was near the lift shaft and across the street from a loud late night cafe and we could hear the cries of a baby in a nearby room. My first stay at Monceau Elysee was five years ago. Since then it would appear no refurbishment or brightening up has taken place. It is no longer good value for money.
poor quality of room for the price. don't take the last floor.
Room was very small and it was very noisy. The price we paid it is not worth it.
